Every day I pray that I can inspire my three daughters. When I started my public relations company I knew that it meant a lot of sacrifices for my family.

It meant that I would work long hours and even be out of town for business trips. The guilt of not being there as much as I used to is tremendous. But, the other day, my seven-year-old showed me something that brought me to tears.

My daughter Addison gave me an early Valentine’s present. It was a coupon booklet. I loved all of the coupons, but the one ticket that caught me by surprise was that she would write a blog for me.  To me that piece of paper meant everything.  It meant that she notices what I do and was so inspired that she too wanted to write a blog. And hopefully, I am an inspiration to her. Little does she know how much she inspires me.

Without further ado, here is my future assistant’s first blog. Sit back and enjoy what it’s like to be a seven-year-old again.

Addie’s Favorites:

My favorite movie is StarStruck. It is so good. It is the best movie ever. I didn’t want to watch it but when I got into it, it was the best movie ever!

My favorite food is an apple. It is the beeeeeest! I love having it with Nutella. It’s also my mom’s favorite too. Now my favorite candy is Twix.  I got it for Valentine’s Day and I can’t stop eating them.

My favorite time of the year is midnight on New Year’s Eve. My parents let me stay up till the ball drops. I’m lucky!

Now my favorite game on the iPad is My Boo. It is the best game ever. I have it on my iPad. I get mad when my big sister Mckenna deletes the game. She says that she doesn’t delete it, but she does.

My favorite board game is Monopoly. My secret way to win is I get boardwalk and buy a lot of houses.

My best friend is Tessa. My mom is going to text her mom to have sleepover today. I am so excited yay!

I may be biased, but I think that is pretty good for a first grader. What brings tears to my eyes will be the look on her face when she see’s this blog on social media and reads the comments.  This is what makes everything worth it.  I hope and pray that my daughters will have the confidence to make their dreams come true.

To all of the moms out there, please keep doing what you are doing because you are a true inspiration to your daughters. You may not know it, but they will show you in small ways…just like my daughter did.
