It’s almost St.Patrick’s Day…one of my favorite days of the year. I am half Irish, but in my heart, I’m 100%.  Both my maternal grandparents were born and raised in Ireland, and I am determined to go back there someday. I am beyond proud of my heritage, and I remind my children of it constantly.

With that being said, I am a huge fan of Celtic music. A couple of years ago, I was introduced to a Irish band called Celtic Thunder. Since my first concert, I’ve been hooked. Celtic Thunder is a group of singers who have the most amazing voices. From traditional Celtic to American songs, their performances are jaw dropping. And let’s face it, they’re easy on the eyes.

Neil Byrne and Ryan Kelly

When they’re not on the big stage, a couple of the band members do an acoustic tour. My friends and I have also gone to a couple of their acoustic performances. I admit, I do have a slight crush on one of the singers, Ryan Kelly. I mean how can you not? He is super cute and very personable. But it’s really about the music. Click here to hear one of my favorite songs. They are coming to Springfield, Massachusetts in April, and if you like the music, you should definitely go see them live. As you celebrate your Irish heritage, enjoy a drink and listen to some Celtic Thunder. It will be sure to bring a smile to your face.

Barney Fanning’s Boston Irish Pub

If you can’t make it to a Celtic Thunder concert, there are plenty of places to see live Celtic music. This past fall, my girlfriends and I were at a bachelorette party in Boston. The night brought us to Barney Fanning’s Boston Irish Pub.  A duo of talented musicians played fun, traditional Celtic tunes, while the whole bar was dancing. We had a blast! There is nothing like being around live Celtic music, super happy people and good friends. If you are in Boston, I highly recommend a stop at Barney Fanning’s Boston Irish Pub.

Mary Reilly, Stevens Diamond Jewelers

What’s St. Patrick’s Day without a celebration?  Our good friends at Stevens Diamond Jewelers know how to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day right. On Saturday, March 21st from 2-4pm, the jewelry store is having a huge Irish Fest. The event will feature live entertainment by Deirdre Reilly and Leo Doherty, plenty of Irish food and beverages, Irish sweaters, Inis perfume and of course Celtic jewelry (all made in Ireland.) Here’s the best part, with any purchase that is made between now and March 21st, you’ll be entered to win a Claddagh diamond pendant! I encourage you to stop by for the event, it is going to be a blast!

Have a wonderful St.Patrick’s Day!

Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhuit!
