Today’s Friday Favorites kicks off with one of the best places to grab a quick, delicious meal. Let me introduce you to Green Leaves to Go in Agawam, Massachusetts. Owners and sisters Rose LaFleur and Lois Rossi make their gourmet creations inside Nina’s Cookies in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. In the morning, they serve up a breakfast sandwich that keeps you full till Noon. For lunch, take your pick of fresh salads or sandwiches. One of their specials the other day was a sweet citrus salad – mixed greens topped with a scoop of our cranberry walnut chicken salad, Vermont cheddar & a medley of chopped apple & oranges soaked in fresh squeezed lemon & honey. How good does that sound? Whether you opt for take-out or you’re providing lunch for the office or an event, Green Leaves to Go is a must try. Once you go there, they will become your favorite…I guarantee it.
The Frosted Owl Gourmet Cupcakes
From healthy salads to tempting cupcakes, I bring you the Frosted Owl Gourmet Cupcakes. I am not a baked goods type of girl, but put me in front of the the Frosted Owl’s cupcakes and it’s all over. Marie Parrelli, owner and baker extraordinaire makes light, fluffy, to-die-for cupcakes and cakes. Words can not express how good these are. Every time I have them for events, my guests rave about them. The good thing is that there are never any leftovers, because nobody can resist them. Marie is also extremely creative. From Frozen themed cakes to Guinness cupcakes for St.Patrick’s Day, she does it all. Speaking of that, you really should order those! Once you try her cupcakes, you’ll be hooked
Massachusetts State Police
From fun foods, to a very serious topic… the men and women who protect us. Have you ever walked by a police officer and thanked them for what they do? If not, you really should. I have a heavy place in my heart for law enforcement. Some of my friends and family are Massachusetts State Police officers. They put their lives on the line every day, as they are called to respond to some of the most dangerous situations.
When I worked as a news reporter, they would Always talk to us. I am sure they were cringing every time we called (we called a lot), but they were always courteous and gracious enough to give us interviews-all the time. They are an amazing group of men and women…my heros. Thank you for protecting us!
Enjoy your weekend!
