In todays vlog we’re talking about the importance of blogging. When I started my Public Relations firm, I received some very good advice from a friend. He told me to start blogging. To be honest, I was very apprehensive about it, but I did it and it’s the best thing I could have ever done.

Today we’re talking about how to set yourself apart from your competition. Whether you are trying to get new business or working to maintain your existing clients…you need to do what everyone else isn’t. So…we’re going back to basics.

When people ask me what I do and I tell them I’m in public relations, their reaction is all very similar. It goes something like this, “Ohhhh…that sounds exciting.” PR is exciting – I love it.  But, for many folks, that seems to be all they know about it. In addition, somehow PR gets meshed into the job category of marketing and communications. Well, it’s not either of those.
